JOB OPENING: Clinical Programs Director
Roots of Health is seeking a Clinical Programs Director. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Director for Clinical Programs will play a critical role in helping Roots of Health achieve its vision to provide high quality programs and services aimed at women and young people in clinic and community settings. The Director will be responsible for a variety of significant activities including internal operations, oversight of various projects and budgets, human resources within the team, potential expansion into new locations, and program evaluation services. The Director will be instrumental in ensuring consistent and effective internal processes and communications to strengthen Roots of Health programs and position the organization for continued success.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include PhilHealth, SSS, Pag-Ibig, HMO coverage after the probation period, 10 paid vacation days, 10 paid sick leave days, 5 days paid leave for Holy Week, and 10 days paid leave between Christmas and New Year, 1 birthday leave and 1 paid leave for the APE.
Responsibilities
The Director of Clinical Program’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategy, vision, and leadership
- Set strategic direction and annual targets; provide management guidance and oversight, develop strategies, meet goals, and provide ongoing operational assistance;
- Build strategic partnerships with existing and new stakeholders;
- Represent Roots of Health in external technical working groups, policy forums, and conferences to advocate for reproductive health and share organizational learnings;
- Ensure compliance with DOH, LGU and other applicable health and social welfare policies within UNK clinics.
Programmatic management and operations
- Supervise Roots of Health’s Clinical Programs to improve access to reproductive health services in Palawan;
- Coordinate closely with the HIV Team to ensure seamless integration of HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care within Roots of Health’s clinical operations, strengthening service delivery and client continuity of care;
- Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance;
- Work with staff to develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality project management;
- Enhance and ensure ongoing organizational excellence by establishing program benchmarks, timelines, and resources needed to achieve strategic goals, and set standards for accountability and measurements of success;
- Oversee programmatic evaluation activities including design of impact metrics, timely data collection, and reporting;
- Review data reports on an ongoing basis and proactively recommend and drive improvements as necessary; prepare evaluation updates for the ED, board of directors, and staff.
- Prepare program reports to effectively communicate impact to the board, funders, and other stakeholders;
- Work closely with the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Team on data collection and analysis.
External Relationships
- Manage relationships with community and partner organizations;
- Support fundraising activities (grant writing and reporting);
- Cultivate existing relationships and help develop new partner relationships.
Knowledge management and communication
- Create a culture of continuous learning, providing mentorship and development opportunities for all staff;
- Support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge that is generated by the programs.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- At least 3 years relevant senior management experience
- Exceptional project management, prioritization, and planning skills
- Proven experience in managing multiple and competing tasks while maintaining quality of deliverables within deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to write clear and concise reports in English
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning
- Must be flexible, honest, highly organized, have a positive attitude and a sense of humor, and be self-directed
- Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
- Willingness to collaborate, innovate and ability to think systematically
- Fluency in English and Tagalog required
Desired:
- Advanced degree in Education, Public Health, clinical health or related field
- Experience working within a clinical or medical setting
- Experience in community health programming
