Each year the Asia Society Asia 21 Fellows select and present the Asia Society Asia 21 Public Service Award to acknowledge projects and organizations which benefit underprivileged social and economic groups, communities, and the public in the Asia-Pacific region. Roots of Health is the 2011 recipient of this award. The Award consists of prize money and the active support of the Asia 21 Fellows class in providing Roots of Health with access to the Fellows’ network for program development.

The Global Fund for Women plays a leading role in advancing women’s rights by making grants that support and strengthen women’s groups around the world. They mobilize and redistribute resources that enable women to develop creative solutions to local, regional, and transnational challenges. This grant has allowed Roots of Health to maintain our services to our communities and expand our college program.

Barclays Capital is a socially responsible organisation, actively involved in providing both financial and volunteering support to charities on a global basis. The firm believes in responsibility, initiative and partnership. Barclays Capital is funding all the Roots of Health programming in our third site, Unang Lahi for one year.

National

Exempli Gratia is a group of ordinary individuals who are committed to share their passion, talent, time and resources for the common good of the Filipino nation. Exempli Gratia aims to do its part through concrete acts of nation-building, allowing its members to band together and help one another, letting out the hero in each of them. Exempli Gratia with Bayanihan ng Palawan sponsored a Saturday Nutritional Support Program and donated slippers and toothbrushes for the mothers and children.Exempli Gratia is a group of ordinary individuals who are committed to share their passion, talent, time and resources for the common good of the Filipino nation.

Provinical

Palawan Lodge 99 of the Free and Accepted Masons, Puerto Princesa City, is a brotherhood of Men dedicated to the ideals of benevolence, freedom, and love of fellowmen. Social service to the community is one of its projects. In order to have a continuing and sustained project, the Lodge passed a resolution to concentrate its social service to the residents of Pulang Lupa, seeking to partner with Roots of Health in its programs in the area. Palawan Lodge 99 has donated 5 water purifiers as well as school materials for the Educational Support Program.

Bayanihan ng Palawan

Bayanihan ng Palawan is a group of young civic-minded professionals who are willing to share their passion, talent, time and resources for the common good of Palawan. Bayanihan ng Palawan is a non-profit community-service organization. One of its main purpose are; service & livelihood to the community, personal growth and improvement, fellowship to mankind and self-help for the disadvantaged. Bayanihan ng Palawan with Exempli Gratia, sponsored a Saturday Nutritional Support Program and donated slippers and toothbrushes for the mothers and children.
